Genesis Chapter 13

א וַיַּעַל אַבְרָם מִמִּצְרַיִם הוּא וְאִשְׁתּוֹ וְכָל-אֲשֶׁר-לוֹ, וְלוֹט עִמּוֹ--הַנֶּגְבָּה.	1 And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the South. 1. Feljöve azért Ábrám Égyiptomból, ő és az ő felesége, és mindene valamije vala, és Lót is ő vele, a déli tartományba.
ב וְאַבְרָם, כָּבֵד מְאֹד, בַּמִּקְנֶה, בַּכֶּסֶף וּבַזָּהָב.	2 And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold. 2. Ábrám pedig igen gazdag vala barmokkal, ezüsttel és aranynyal.
ג וַיֵּלֶךְ, לְמַסָּעָיו, מִנֶּגֶב, וְעַד-בֵּית-אֵל--עַד-הַמָּקוֹם, אֲשֶׁר-הָיָה שָׁם אָהֳלֹה בַּתְּחִלָּה, בֵּין בֵּית-אֵל, וּבֵין הָעָי.	3 And he went on his journeys from the South even to Beth-el, unto the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Beth-el and Ai; 3. És méne helyről helyre délfelől mind Béthelig, oda a hol először vala az ő sátora, Béthel és Hái között.
ד אֶל-מְקוֹם, הַמִּזְבֵּחַ, אֲשֶׁר-עָשָׂה שָׁם, בָּרִאשֹׁנָה; וַיִּקְרָא שָׁם אַבְרָם, בְּשֵׁם יְהוָה.	4 unto the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first; and Abram called there on the name of the LORD. 4. Annak az oltárnak helyére, melyet ott elsőben készített vala: és segítségűl hívá ott Ábrám az Úrnak nevét.
ה וְגַם-לְלוֹט--הַהֹלֵךְ, אֶת-אַבְרָם: הָיָה צֹאן-וּבָקָר, וְאֹהָלִים.	5 And Lot also, who went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents. 5. Lótnak is pedig, a ki Ábrámmal jár vala, valának juhai, ökrei és sátorai.
ו וְלֹא-נָשָׂא אֹתָם הָאָרֶץ, לָשֶׁבֶת יַחְדָּו: כִּי-הָיָה רְכוּשָׁם רָב, וְלֹא יָכְלוּ לָשֶׁבֶת יַחְדָּו.	6 And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together; for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together. 6. És nem bírá meg őket az a föld, hogy együtt lakjanak, mert sok jószáguk vala, és nem lakhatának együtt.
ז וַיְהִי-רִיב, בֵּין רֹעֵי מִקְנֵה-אַבְרָם, וּבֵין, רֹעֵי מִקְנֵה-לוֹט; וְהַכְּנַעֲנִי, וְהַפְּרִזִּי, אָז, יֹשֵׁב בָּאָרֶץ.	7 And there was a strife between the herdmen of Abram's cattle and the herdmen of Lot's cattle. And the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelt then in the land. 7. Versengés is támada az Ábrám barompásztorai között, és a Lót barompásztorai között; és a Kananeusok és a Perizeusok is ott laknak vala akkor azon a földön.
ח וַיֹּאמֶר אַבְרָם אֶל-לוֹט, אַל-נָא תְהִי מְרִיבָה בֵּינִי וּבֵינֶךָ, וּבֵין רֹעַי, וּבֵין רֹעֶיךָ: כִּי-אֲנָשִׁים אַחִים, אֲנָחְנוּ.	8 And Abram said unto Lot: 'Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we are brethren. 8. Monda azért Ábrám Lótnak: Ne legyen versengés közöttem és közötted, se az én pásztoraim között és a te pásztoraid között: hiszen atyafiak vagyunk.
ט הֲלֹא כָל-הָאָרֶץ לְפָנֶיךָ, הִפָּרֶד נָא מֵעָלָי: אִם-הַשְּׂמֹאל וְאֵימִנָה, וְאִם-הַיָּמִין וְאַשְׂמְאִילָה.	9 Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me; if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou take the right hand, then I will go to the left.' 9. Avagy nincsen-é előtted mind az egész föld? Válj el kérlek, tőlem; ha te balra tartasz, én jobbra megyek; ha te jobbra menéndesz, én balra térek.
י וַיִּשָּׂא-לוֹט אֶת-עֵינָיו, וַיַּרְא אֶת-כָּל-כִּכַּר הַיַּרְדֵּן, כִּי כֻלָּהּ, מַשְׁקֶה--לִפְנֵי שַׁחֵת יְהוָה, אֶת-סְדֹם וְאֶת-עֲמֹרָה, כְּגַן-יְהוָה כְּאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם, בֹּאֲכָה צֹעַר.	10 And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of the Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, like the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou goest unto Zoar. 10. Felemelé azért Lót az ő szemeit, és látá, hogy a Jordán egész melléke bővizű föld; mert minekelőtte elvesztette volna az Úr Sodomát és Gomorát, mind Czoárig olyan vala az, mint az Úr kertje, mint Égyiptom földe.
יא וַיִּבְחַר-לוֹ לוֹט, אֵת כָּל-כִּכַּר הַיַּרְדֵּן, וַיִּסַּע לוֹט, מִקֶּדֶם; וַיִּפָּרְדוּ, אִישׁ מֵעַל אָחִיו.	11 So Lot chose him all the plain of the Jordan; and Lot journeyed east; and they separated themselves the one from the other. 11. És választá Lót magának a Jordán egész mellékét, és elköltözék Lót kelet felé: és elválának egymástól.
יב אַבְרָם, יָשַׁב בְּאֶרֶץ-כְּנָעַן; וְלוֹט, יָשַׁב בְּעָרֵי הַכִּכָּר, וַיֶּאֱהַל, עַד-סְדֹם.	12 Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelt in the cities of the Plain, and moved his tent as far as Sodom. 12. Ábrám lakozik vala a Kanaán földén, Lót pedig lakozik vala a Jordán-melléki városokban, és sátoroz vala Sodomáig.
יג וְאַנְשֵׁי סְדֹם, רָעִים וְחַטָּאִים, לַיהוָה, מְאֹד.	13 Now the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners against the LORD exceedingly. 13. Sodoma lakosai pedig nagyon gonoszok és bűnösök valának az Úr előtt.
יד וַיהוָה אָמַר אֶל-אַבְרָם, אַחֲרֵי הִפָּרֶד-לוֹט מֵעִמּוֹ, שָׂא נָא עֵינֶיךָ וּרְאֵה, מִן-הַמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר-אַתָּה שָׁם--צָפֹנָה וָנֶגְבָּה, וָקֵדְמָה וָיָמָּה.	14 And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him: 'Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art, northward and southward and eastward and westward; 14. Az Úr pedig monda Ábrámnak, minekutánna elválék tőle Lót: Emeld fel szemeidet és tekints arról a helyről, a hol vagy, északra, délre, keletre és nyugotra.
טו כִּי אֶת-כָּל-הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר-אַתָּה רֹאֶה, לְךָ אֶתְּנֶנָּה, וּלְזַרְעֲךָ, עַד-עוֹלָם.	15 for all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. 15. Mert mind az egész földet, a melyet látsz, néked adom, és a te magodnak örökre.
טז וְשַׂמְתִּי אֶת-זַרְעֲךָ, כַּעֲפַר הָאָרֶץ: אֲשֶׁר אִם-יוּכַל אִישׁ, לִמְנוֹת אֶת-עֲפַר הָאָרֶץ--גַּם-זַרְעֲךָ, יִמָּנֶה.	16 And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth; so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered. 16. És olyanná tészem a te magodat, mint a földnek pora, hogyha valaki megszámlálhatja a földnek porát, a te magod is megszámlálható lesz.
יז קוּם הִתְהַלֵּךְ בָּאָרֶץ, לְאָרְכָּהּ וּלְרָחְבָּהּ: כִּי לְךָ, אֶתְּנֶנָּה.	17 Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for unto thee will I give it.' 17. Kelj fel, járd be ez országot hosszában és széltében: mert néked adom azt.
יח וַיֶּאֱהַל אַבְרָם, וַיָּבֹא וַיֵּשֶׁב בְּאֵלֹנֵי מַמְרֵא--אֲשֶׁר בְּחֶבְרוֹן; וַיִּבֶן-שָׁם מִזְבֵּחַ, לַיהוָה. {פ}	18 And Abram moved his tent, and came and dwelt by the terebinths of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the LORD. {P} 18. Elébb mozdítá azért sátorát Ábrám, és elméne, és lakozék Mamré tölgyesében, mely Hebronban van, és oltárt építe ott az Úrnak.
